OneGrid was formed by two industry veterans
Dexter Hofhines brings 10 years of experience in the solar industry, with a particular focus on incentives and financial tools that help homeowners transition to the new generation of power. Throughout his career, he has personally assisted over 800 homes in converting to solar energy. His time in the field has given him a unique perspective on the evolving nature of the industry, leading him to recognize a need for updated project management practices and innovative product offerings to keep pace with advancements in technology and changes to electrical codes.
Dexter is a dedicated family man, with a wonderful wife and daughter, and he is expecting a second child in 2025. He holds a strong belief that while business is important, there are far more meaningful things in life. He sees business as a powerful tool to help achieve those priorities, not just for himself, but also for those he is fortunate enough to serve.
Thomas Janowski brings over 12 years of experience in solar energy and electrical systems, specializing in market analysis, project management, and team leadership. His expertise spans both residential and commercial solar and battery projects, where he consistently delivers efficient, integrated solutions that balance form and function.
Throughout his career, Thomas has overseen the successful completion of solar installations ranging from 5 kW to 1 MW, while conducting over 20,000 site evaluations. His ability to manage projects of varying sizes — from small residential systems to large-scale commercial setups worth up to $5 million — has established him as a leader in the industry. His high-level oversight ensures that each project is completed on time, within budget, and with a commitment to safety at every stage.
Outside of work, Thomas values time with his high school sweetheart, who is now his wife, and their two boys. You’re most likely to catch him fishing with them, even outside of business hours, reflecting his dedication to both family and work-life balance.
